Question Is sucking more juice from the battery safe??

I've heard a lot of stuff like "installing aftermarket bulbs could end up melting the wires becuase they suck out more energy" and things like that...

I'm about to hardwire my ValentineOne to the lighter socket wire on the passenger side. And even though I don't really use that socket for anything else anyways, what do you all think about juicing more energy through a wire than it was made to do? Like if I hardwired the V1 to the overhead-courtesy-lights instead of the lighter socket down below... would that melt the courtesy-light wires through time?

Anytime I hardwire anything I go straight to the fuse block.

Or run an inline fuse. You definately want a fuse, cause if it blows, your car is safe.
