    AEM installed today

Thanks to Aaron (Devil Z) and Mike (n1k0) for coming by for a little install party, turned out having 3 people was pretty handy. :)

Getting the air filter down into the bowels of the fender was the hardest part by far, but we managed to work it out.

As you can imagine there's not much of a noticeable performance gain (mostly psychological) with this, but it does make a great sound once the car breaks 4500rpm.

No sweat! It was a little bit of a PITA but we pulled through and to a very nice outcome I might add! Now we need to schedule a dyno day!

LowFuel, looking good with the color matchs. I have seen a set of Samco hose in blue and they would look great with your DB. I have a CS and in the process of dressing the engine compartment in red to match the red calibers.

Thanks everyone - Im debating on painting the engine cover and battery/brake fluid covers like Bonz did (but in blue of course).

One thing that disappointed me is that my grounding wires are turning very dark blue due to the engine heat. :( So they dont look nearly as cool as they used to. Anyone with a grounding kit thats been in for a while not having that problem? I'd be curious to know what kind of cables you're using. Mine are monster cables.

I have the z-xtreme kit in black so I really don't notice any color changes.

So did you actually take off the strut bar and the wheel to get under the fender for this install? I'm going to do mine this weekend, and it really doesn't look like you'd have to take off the strust bar. Getting the filter in without going under the car though doesn't really look possible. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If I remember correctly we did'nt find it necessary to have to remove the strut bar. Also it is possible to do this instal w/o taking the front left wheel off all we did was turn the wheel for a right turn and it will give you enough access to the wheel well and into the engine bay. Good luck with the install!

Take a look at my DIY install on the AEM. You don't have to remove the strut or the wheel.
