the finisher/ electical control of radio and temp

Gentlemen, I've posted this question on the other site. Help Please. What is the finisher, which fuse controls it, how much is it, have there been recalls? I took my G to get the battery tested, car wouldn't turn over after sitting for 48 hours. Jump start no problem. Dealer said it had 60 amps of cold cranking power. They performed some kind of electrical tests. When they drove it around from the shop for me to leave, they told me the radio and temp controls had died, WTF? They tested the fuses, all good they say. Now I'm told the finisher is "****ed" and it's over a grand to replace it. The radio worked fine and the temp controls worked fine prior to them testing the battery and they tell me it's just a coincidence that it happened now. WTF? What would you do? I wrote to the sevice manager yesterday explaining the situation, no reply yet. I'm pissed. Can I take her to a Nissan Dealer to re-check the fuses? Any help will be appreciated.

First, what car do you have? I assume your car is out of warranty.

If it's the audio board, it is a circuit board shared by the radio and AC controls. The earlier ones are known to go bad. It has nothing to do with fuses. Mine did on my sedan and it was replaced, along with the entire radio, under warranty.

Some people send them out to a repair shop to be fixed for $200 to $300. But you won't have any AC controls while the radio is out.

Thanks for the reply. The dealer will assist me with warrenty, labour and parts. I think that's the best I can do at the moment. They are being helpful, So exactly what do the fuses deal with? Yes, G 35 Sedan/03. Out of warrenty, I've seen the bulletins. Thank you.

Fuses protect the radio from a short, unless the short is on that circuit board. It is a very common problem. Search on G35Driver and you will see.
