Which Test Pipes?

guys i need help deciding which test pipes i want to buy.

i know i def want resonated because i dont want too much rasp.

i recently just switch my setup from fujitsubo to the hks td exhaust. right now im leaning towrad fast intensions bc i heard the top speed tp give off rasp.

what do you guys say?

oh yea.. is it worth buying them used? bc i can save half the money :char17:

do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy Megan racing pipes. I had them on my car no longer than 3 months and had to take them off so I could pass emissions. I was planning on putting them back on untill I saw the cracks in the welds on both pipes. They were double resignated but still had bad rasp. i ve heard nothing but good things about FI.

I have Megan Racing pipes and have never had any problems. They have been on the car for almost 3 years and I never had any problems with passing emissons or structure. I got them because they were cheap and I had planned on replacing them later if I needed to but have not come to that fork in the road.

sorry but I think rasp and test pipe go hand on hand........ but again, I have no experience with any....... but the logic is, there's a reason why people switch to HFC
I dont see any prob with buying used thou....

these will be on the car for about a yr and then off they go.

i found kinetix resonated pipes for 150 shipped... any experience with those? bc im usualy an impulsive buyer, but this time i dont wanna f up.

I got mine Megans for $100 from a group buy on driver, but that is a great price for the Kinetix. I have only seen them around $180 to $200. GL on the purchase and install.

kinetix are usually pretty expensive i think. be careful buying used but i think you will get rasp with all test pipes. either way, i cant justify spending a bunch on them as they are mostly just pieces of pipe.

rasp is definately a problem...
i switched to HFC, just cuz they do make a difference..and a lot less rasp if any...and i dont think these cars should be so loud...unless you are pushin power...


but thats jsut my honest opinion..i just cringe when i hear farting from a car and not from my @$$...

your absolutely right about that, but sometimes when you buy an exhaust to begin with its just for sound. It may sound better and not just louder.

does it give the car any more pull? i think 5hp

I have TP on my car. Full headers and full open exhaust. Lol.....I don't think there's that much rasp on my car :) But I'm definitely mod it for the future.

Otherwise, if you don't go for FI, TP is not worth it.
