Chuck and I worked over this past weekend and then some to build and install a custom amp rack in the trunk for the Alpine PDX-1.1000 and PDX-4.450 amps, and the 8 farad digital capacitor under plexiglass. We also changed the trunk's carpet color to black as well as the two 4080 sub enclosures. we topped it off with some blue led's to match the blue of the amps and capacitor. I have a trunk mat that will cover everything so the trunk retains full functionality.

There is a storage compartment under the carpet that holds the CD changer and AudioControl Epicenter, as well as emergency items.

Next is to install led's arounf the head unit and throughout the interior. Then there is also the engine compartment to finalize.

Thanks to Chuck for his ideas, input, and help.

I ditched the spare tire because it wouldn't fit over the brakes. So that left a lot of room with which to work.

The grills are just the one's that come with the 4080 boxes. We installed a strip of blue led's at the top inside shining down.

His helper did all the carpentry work and painting...

Sean needs to show you what is underneath the carpeted panels I made.

The labor was a bargain...

Sean would know better on the cost, but I think around $200. Not including the amps or cap.

Nice work man! very clean. Do you have a pic of those led's behind the sub grills?

It cost around $100 or so including the wire I bought. If I include the $20 for the crappy vinyl that melted in the sun that I was going to use, add another $20.

The led's came from Advance auto parts chain store. They're flexible strips.
