Differences in 2003 & 2003.5 Sedans

There are numerous differences between the Type 1 and Type 2 2003 G35 AT Sedans. Engine internals, engine room wiring, ECM and TCM software programing are just a start. All doggie door and some early (what we call 2003.5) Sedans are Type 1 cars. You must have the VIN as you can't necessarily tell by the trunk lid or interior changes.

Here are the specific VINs for the 2003 Type 1 & 2 A/T Sedans. By the way, there are no Type 1 M/T Sedans.

TYPE 1 - Up to serial 329287, except 327918, 327920, 327976, 327978, 328979, 329004, 329025, 329078

TYPE 2 - For serial 327918, 327920, 327976, 327978, 328979, 329004, 329025, 329078 and from serial 329288
