I'm thinking about getting an alarm put in my 05 coupe to keep any hoodlums at bay. Not looking into a system to run all sorts of functions. Just something with a shock sensor and possibly motion sensor. Any recommendations as far as what brands to look into or stay away from? And price ranges too. My buddy has a system with a motion/shock sensor but it was always going off in the rain. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Yep, it's hard to hide from DEI as they own most of the big name alarm manufacturers. I would recommend:
-Motion sensor
-Shock sensor
-Backup battery
-Backup siren (connected to backup battery)
-Hood/Trunk trigger
Most manufacturers should offer those options. Good Luck!
