Just got the E-Mail with the UPS Tracking Numbers. My new Sparco Seats will arrive on Friday. :happy65:
Won't have the mounting hardware this week though, which is too bad--it would have been nice to have them installed for a local show this Sunday (assuming the weather holds up).
Been poking around on other forums to get a heads-up on any potential installation problems. I don't have the side airbags, so that's one hurdle I have to worry about jumping.
Reckon I'll post pics when I install them....

I was torn between getting these (R505) and the Torino 2. Finally decided on the R505 because they're a bit more unique looking for Sparcos.

Got an E-Mail from Sparco--the mounting hardware is scheduled for delivery tomorrow as well--I might be able to get the seats installed in time for the show after all! :RaceFlag:

When I changed my seats out it was a piece of cake. Just installed and plugged in the plug for the airbags. Of course my replacements were out of a 350Z :)
Don't forsee any problems for you.

I ordered the Sparco rails and sliders, specifically the passenger side rail for Zs equipped with automatic transmissions. I've Googled all kinds of horror stories about the Sparco rails having to be drilled, Dremeled, not lining up right, hitting the door panel, etc. But these were older threads from different forums. Some used different brand rails to get the seats to sit lower. Others were competition-only seats that should have been used with the side-rails rather than the flat kind.
I don't have the side and curtain airbags, so I shouldn't have to worry about jury-rigging the existing wires with Radio Shack resistors. Hopefully my install will go as smoothly as yours, Dr. Bonz. I'm keeping my finger crossed...

Well, UPS just dropped off the seats.
No sign of the rails. They may come around 7:00 - 7:30 PM. I was hoping to get them so I could get them in for the show on Sunday, but if not, I'm not gonna stress over it. But man, these things feel good! Can't wait to get them in the Z!
I'll post better pics as soon as I get them in.
Have a good Memorial Day Weekend, everyone!:sun_smile

Ran into my first snag:
The bracket they sent for the passenger side was for a Z with a manual transmission instead of an auto, so I sent it back. Turns out Sparco has discontinued the seat bracket for the auto trans, even though it's still on their website.
There does seem to be a 500 series bracket for the 350Z with an auto trans, so I'm arranging to have a set of 500 series brackets shipped in place of the 400 series I ordered.
It would be nice if a company of Sparco's size and reputation would keep their site updated...

Only if I can't get the mounting bracket issue resolved--then they're yours--for a price, of course... ;)
