Hey guys,
I'm thinking of temporarily (want to be able to replace the panels later if necessary) taking off the cover for the rear strut bar, the inside of the trunk/hatch. I was just wondering if anyone had done this and if anyone had any advice. Thanks!

Fletchyes, its all pretty easy, but you have to start with the panel at the rear of the hatch. the clips that hold it in are vertical, so pull it up, not out. I pulled it out and broke 3 of the 4 clips, and needed to replace it. Other than that, its straight forward.

You mean, like this? That isn't my car by the way. Scafremon posted this a long time ago.

No, more the bar across the back and the lining of the trunk. I'm gonna leave the storage spaces intact. Thanks!

Rear interior's stipped. It was a piece of cake. The only thing I almost messed up on was that once you get off all the side pieces and you are about to take off the bottom most part of the rear brace, there are two clips you have to pop open before you can pull it down. Just make sure (if anyone else is doing this) that you look at the underside of it and you will see them. One on each side. I can already feel my car getting lighter, haha. Thanks for everybody's help.

I know of several people who have used that space for various things. In Car PCs, Game consoles, bigger better subwoofers, and yes, some have purchased the glove box parts and installed another glove box into that spot.
