Header Install DIY part2....

ok, got my headers and I'm about to document my distruction of my car.... just a question before I begin. I have been reading that when folks put in test pipes, you get a CEL also... UNLESS you install this little O2 sensor extention thingy... I bought megan racings one piece header down pipe combo and they guy I talked to from Megan racing was useless... I want to know would I be a candidate for these O2 spacer things? Here are my headers...

yes, You'd need the non-fouler on the 2ndary O2 Sensors

Btw, those are some interesting headers. Make sure you take some good pictures of the welds, flanges, etc. to make sure the quality is good. I have no problem with megan products, just that a lot of people had the megan TP cracked on them. Let's hope the headers are stronger.

and if I put the headers in now without them and get a CEL... is it bad to drive the car with a cel till the extentions get here?

TP is test pipes....they crack rom poor welds...

its fine if you drive with it on, jsut get it done asap...:nike:

You can get non-foulers at the auto parts store. I don't remember the thread pitch and diameter that you need though. You need 4 of them because you have to drill out one of them and screw another one into it.

you need something like this. I'm not sure if there is a company that makes one specific for the g35 though.
